Power Outages
Can you guarantee that your accounting data would survive?

words "power outage" probably conjure some very recent memories.
Around 4:15 pm on the afternoon of August 14, 2003, it was as if
someone yanked a giant power cord from the wall, leaving many
homes and businesses without electricity. The rest of the world
watched as eight northeastern states and parts of Canada sat in the
dark, wondering what had happened.

invoices being posted - is added to the database one bit at a time,

with a payable invoice posted to Accounts Payable history but not the
General Ledger or Job Costing.

inserts it into the database in one chunk. In addition, it keeps a careful
record of each transaction that was completed. Therefore, when a
power outage happens during the posting of multiple records, the
system is able to recover when the power returns without additional

worry that some data posted and some did not.
