Data viewed in a Pivot Table may be turned into a Pivot Chart for use in dynamic graphic presentations. We will explore the uses of pivot charts and review a number of chart types to graphically track items such as G/L account activity, equipment usage hours and job hours. This session requires basic knowledge of Pivot Table creation. We will also analyze the direct link between the Pivot Table and the Pivot Chart.

There are various methods within Foundation that can be used to allocate or distribute overhead costs to jobs. During this session, we will discuss the General Ledger Method of Overhead Allocation. Time will be spent discussing the logic, required settings, and daily transactions required to enable this process.

Do you want to ensure General Ledger and Job Cost tie every month?
We will create separate queries pulling General Ledger History and Job Cost History by job. Once the queries are created, we will consolidate the data into a Pivot Table to compare the values within the two tables. This report will allow quick identification of the discrepancies between Job Cost and General Ledger Posting. This session will also cover creating formulas that reference data stored within a Pivot Table.
